How Our Installation Works
- Measure and recommend. We measure the opening, headroom and side room, and check the framing, then recommend door and opener options that fit your space and budget.
- Confirm the price. You get the price and the details of the door you chose before any work starts.
- Install. We install the door sections, tracks, springs, cables and weather seal, plus the opener if you need one.
- Balance and test. We set the spring tension so the door is balanced, then test the auto-reverse, photo-eye sensors and remotes, and show you how everything works.
Choosing the Right Door
- Insulation: an insulated door keeps an attached garage cooler in summer and quieter year-round. Useful if you use the garage as a gym, office or workshop.
- Single or double: one wide door or two single doors, depending on the opening and how you park.
- Windows: window panels add light and style; we can show options that keep privacy.
- HOA rules: many communities have rules on door style and color. We can work with your HOA’s requirements.
New Garage Door Openers
We install belt-drive, chain-drive and wall-mount (jackshaft) openers. California law requires battery backup on residential garage door openers installed since July 1, 2019, so new openers we install include it. For problems with an existing opener, see garage door opener repair.
Repair or Replace?
If your door has cracked or rotted panels, keeps going off track, or is very old and heavy, a new door may cost less over time than repeated repairs. If the panels are sound, a repair is often enough. We will tell you honestly which makes sense. See garage door repair and spring replacement.

Most residential installations are completed in a single visit. Custom or special-order doors take longer to arrive, and we will give you a timeline when you order.
Can you install a new opener with my new door?
Yes. We can install a new opener at the same time, matched to the door’s size and weight.

Yes. We install commercial sectional and roll-up doors and operators.
